IF I do some things inside, I could start peppers and artichokes in about 2 -3 weeks. A little extra early lettuce and other cold stuff just to play around with in about 4 weeks.

I don't start in earnest until April, and it becomes warm enough to use my greenhouse without major (and EXPENSIVE) supplemental heat.

Honestly, I've found that things grow so much faster in the greenhouse than indoors under lights that it doesn't make a lot of difference.

The one thing I really SHOULD do indoors by mid-March for certain, though, are my extra early tomatoes, mainly 4th of July.
