I think over the years I alerted on 35-40 posts spewing hatred and bigotry for LGBTQ's and drag queens - some of which even included violence (either direct threats or encouraging someone to use "vigilante justice" . Do you know how many got removed? 0.
Each and every time, Assbook's staff would see the hateful posts and not see a thing wrong with them.
Meanwhile, my dad got 30 days in Assbook Jail for "Tucker Carlson should be taken behind the woodshed" and other posts blasting the QOP. Our very own Dweller posted on the 3rd that they got a month in Assbook Jail for the "Take the Clorox challenge!" picture that they posted in 2020. My roommate got 30 days in Jail (later overturned) for ranting and raving about the Highland Park shooting, saying "These motherfuckers are trying to shoot us all!"
But threats to attack drag queens and wanting to kill transgenders and general bigotry? ALL GOOD!
I would say these social media platforms don't care, but that'd be a lie. They're all pretty right-wing, both in membership and ownership. This is why the problem is so bad, and getting worse here in 2022. People know they are free to post all the hateful shit they want, and it's us that have to watch our step. A total and blatant case of "freedom of speech for me, not for thee!"
It's also why some of us don't believe Elon Muskrat one bit on his plans for Twitter. There's no doubt that he'll allow all the hate and bigotry and threats in the world... Meanwhile, expect everyone who dares to post a rainbow flag or trans pride flag to be shown the door, immediately.
Assbook, Twit-ter, TikTok, et al., are not our friends. Nor are they friendly or safe places for us to be.
