And check for dirt or corrosion on the little metal bits on the bottom of the battery. It can be cleaned off easily.

Another reason is the damned little USB C plug that you plug the charging cable into. The aluminium surround of the port gets bent and loose and the plug doesn't connect properly. Maybe try your cable with a bit of silver foil around it.

The batteries are expensive, and I've had both these problems on underwater cameras.
