in a nutshell.

I have always said Jesus could run as an Dem in SC and Satan as an R. Satan would win every time. Not entirely true but there is a significant segment of people who will support the R's no matter what. I see that changing slow but sure. The Dem's should have gone full bore when Sanford was taken down. They should have picked up seats. Instead they crumbled. Take a look at the Alvin Greene controversy.

It's not like the republicans in SC don't have a history of hiring blacks to run on the Dem ticket:
