multiple issues- the 911 personnel response, phone technology/GPS location tracking, and the safety of Honda's minivan seats.

In the last few years, we've seen more than one news story about communication delays with 911 calls and the failure to pass along information and respond in time to avert crises, especially in the state of Ohio.

I'm not familiar with the workings of police depts. which do an outstanding job for the most part, and I don't mean to pick on them or the state of OH, but am fairly certain more than one of these stories reported how 911 services are contracted and outsourced to 3rd party tech companies. The implication was that they do not always have a record of reliable systems and staff, and that's a serious matter.

Same for Honda Odyssey minivan seats recalls. These high value vehicles have an long and excellent reputation for car safety, which is the reason so many people with children purchase them.

In the Comments Section of this article there's some discussion of the efficacy and standards of cell phone GPS tracking whether using 'smart' or 'dumb phone' technology. Apparently there's a good deal of confusion and no real uniformity among the various types of mobile phones, yet.

Best of luck discussing these matters with your family, and safe travels!
