Which I don't have a reference for, so you just have to trust me on this. I read, somewhere, that there were more Democrat votes cast than Republican in the mid terms in NC. Gerrymandering, resulted in the votes that were cast, not being effective in election wins. Though the numbers were there, the distribution was not.
