Related: About this forumThe Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is retiring
https://www.wral.com/nc-chief-justice-to-resign-next-month/18148219/Looks like the next in line for the chief position is the last remaining GOP justice but we are now looking at a 6 to 1 court in favor of the Democrats. With fair districts we would have won at least 6 more likely 7 Congressional seats along with majorities in both houses of the General Assembly.

Which I don't have a reference for, so you just have to trust me on this. I read, somewhere, that there were more Democrat votes cast than Republican in the mid terms in NC. Gerrymandering, resulted in the votes that were cast, not being effective in election wins. Though the numbers were there, the distribution was not.

we won a majority of the two party vote in both houses of the general assembly and a majority of the two party vote in contested Congressional races (Jones ran unopposed).

I can't remember the state, but the Democrats won 60% of the votes cast for the state legislature, and got a third of the seats.
Gerrymandering at its best (or worst).
