Voting in my district's primary [View all]

It's mostly a GOP primary since there's only one Democrat on the ballot. The GOP mafia leaders are flooding our mailboxes with who to vote for and who not to vote for. Do I do a crossover vote for the one they don't favor? Is that helpful in any way? Or do I just vote for the lone Democrat?

I've never completely understood the whole crossover vote.
