I said 2 events in you life may have been disappointments at the time.

Yes, I do think you deciding to leave your job because of a management decision to cut staff hours may
have been a disappointment for you. Maybe it wasn't and you were considering leaving your job soon anyway. I applaud you for having the power of your convictions to take the immediate action, That doesn't mean you couldn't be disappointed to leave a job that maybe you liked(?) and fellow staff that maybe you liked (?)

I also would think that your marriage of 17 years ending in divorce was a disappointment for you at the time. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe you weren't happy in your marriage and you were elated it was ending.

We've all had "disappointing experiences in our lives. It takes strong and determined person to turn those experiences into a positive out come and you appear to have done that. That was my point.

I'm disappointed you interpreted my post other wise.
