9. FWIW, I had two pieces delayed

One Christmas present from Maine to Maryland was mailed on December 4th, supposed to arrive December 9th. I was very disappointed when it didn’t arrive, because I was so proud of myself to have mailed it so early. I assumed it was lost or stolen until it arrived yesterday, December 30th. Hurray! Where had it been? Who knows? (Another same-size package sent to a different Maryland address arrived on December 10.)

I was warned by email Monday night about a bill that was nearly over due. I had sent the check (yeah, old style) 19 days ago. The payment arrived Tuesday, whew! But I had spent an hour trying to track it down and then pay online, then called call the company when that didn’t work.

The dark forces really want to kill the US Postal Service, and it’s working.
