2. Oplatek...a Polish tradition.

My spouse is Polish, and when we congregated with her family at Christmas, you would take the Oplatek wafer, hold it out to the person sitting next to you, and they would break off a piece, eat it, and then you would say something complimentary and well-wishing to them. The wafer would then be passed around the table, where the process would repeat.
