(162 posts)I served in the AF from 1975-2003 and as you progressed through the enlisted ranks you'd be selected, based on rank, to attend an in-residence professional military education course. While in Germany in 1985, I attended the NCO Academy along with about 110 other NCOs. At the end of the course, I and four others were called to the Commandant's office. I knew I wasn't in trouble so I was trying to figure out why I was being called to the "principal"s office." It turned out, our instructors recommend the four of us to join the instructor staff. At the time I had was a bit of a nightmare assignment and I almost jumped at the chance because joining the Academy staff would cancel my assignment and get me out of that assignment. I choose not to accept the offer because I didn't want to "runaway" from my problem and in the long-run it was the correct decision.
So yeah, PME instructor would have been the class I'd like to have had.
