Therefore even if you knew the monthly cost for the legislators or their staff, a reasonable comparison would be to the cost paid by people who through their job have medical benefits.

I retired a few decades ago, but back then the company I worked for put out a statement that showed my compensation package. The point was that wages were just part of it. The cost they bore for medical was much more than the potion I paid.
