And often not enough for most people to get through an entire month. But they're going to nitpick individual recipients to find some disqualifying factor, a process that will cost far more than the meager SNAP benefits people receive.

"Ah, so your mother sent your daughter $25 for her 8th birthday and you didn't report it? No more food assistance for you and your family."

They are looking for criminality in the wrong place, but that's not surprising.
