Chávez also funded a Red Doctor School in Cuba, which is focused on training Doctors to practice in under served populations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_American_School_of_Medicine
Cuba has had a history of providing Doctors to almost 90 poor countries, many with no other sources of medical assistance. Cuba also operates Operation Milagro, which has provided Eye saving care for at least Four Million individuals. The west is still angry that Cuba kicked out the corrupt casino operators back in 1959.
