US Announces $25M Reward for Arrest of Venezuela's Maduro

Source: Newsweek

The United States has announced a $25 million reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Nicolás Maduro, coinciding with the day he was sworn in as president of Venezuela, the BBC has reported.

Maduro, chosen by the late socialist icon Hugo Chávez to succeed him in 2013, has overseen Venezuela's decline into economic chaos. Accused of corruption, human rights violations, and drug trafficking, he continues to cling to power while suppressing dissent.

The U.S. reward highlights a renewed push to destabilize Maduro's presidency and bolster the opposition's bid to restore democracy.

Only a handful of nations, including Russia, have recognized Maduro as the winner of Venezuela's July election. In contrast, the United States and the European Parliament have declared Edmundo González the "president-elect," further challenging Maduro's authority.

an insurrection? What is the US offering as a reward for Donald Trump? I know where he is.

Maybe the US should pay some attention to what's going on in our fucking borders.

people, kids, women, tortured and killed them, Maduro has. He claims to be a "Socialist", but "Socialism" does not exist, "Socialism" is just rhetoric that communists dictators use to lure the people to vote for them, once in power their dictatorship agenda blooms.

Communism is Dictatorship, they are the same tragic formula but with different beginnings, not 100% though because they both find an enemy, the USA being the primary for many of these regimes, they both make promises they don't intend to keep, they are both totalitarian, but the "Socialist" rhetoric is soft, full of promises to bring people together, out of poverty, etc.. Of course, once they get in power poverty climbs at an exponential rate giving to breathing room to the people, and once they are established, the dictatorship of the "Socialist/Communist" regime comes to light, but by then the regime has taken over the military, the police, have also created their own militia, and the people have very little room to fight.

That, in a nutshell, is Venezuela. A very aggressive criminal regime, and that is why the USA placed bounties on the heads of Maduro and other thugs from the regime who have committed the most horrible crimes against its citizens.

Now, trump loves Maduro, he thinks Maduro is strong and intelligent, so I would not be surprised if these bounties are suspended.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — The Trump administration issued a parting shot at Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Tuesday, announcing a sweeping round of stiff financial sanctions that target a network accused of moving oil on behalf of the president’s alleged frontman.

that trump thinks Maduro is strong & intelligent. Also, find a video where the woman who was Mike Pence's right hand woman (I don't know her name) explains what trump thinks of Maduro, and the fact that trump WANTS to be like Maduro.

There is a misconception about the sanctions that trump placed of Maduro's regime during his 1st stunt as president. The first sanctions against the regime were made by Obama/Biden, the 2nd ones that the GOP and trump took credit for were already in place to be implemented by Obama/Biden, but the majority GOP in Congress did not allow it, the Obama/Biden term was close to end and trump was coming, so they wanted to give trump that "win".

Just watch how, under trump's administration, Maduro stays in power. I really hope I am wrong about this, but it is already happening.

Chávez also funded a Red Doctor School in Cuba, which is focused on training Doctors to practice in under served populations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_American_School_of_Medicine
Cuba has had a history of providing Doctors to almost 90 poor countries, many with no other sources of medical assistance. Cuba also operates Operation Milagro, which has provided Eye saving care for at least Four Million individuals. The west is still angry that Cuba kicked out the corrupt casino operators back in 1959.

Venezuela nationalized its oil industry on January 1, 1976. President Carlos Andrés Pérez's economic plan, "La Gran Venezuela", called for the nationalization of the oil industry.
The nationalization of the oil industry led to the creation of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), a state-owned company that oversees all aspects of Venezuela's oil industry. PDVSA replaced foreign oil companies with Venezuelan companies, such as Lagoven, Maraven, and Llavonen.
Venezuela's oil production declined by over 50% between 1970 and 1985. However, production began to grow again and by 1998, it had recovered to nearly its former high. In 1997, Venezuela opened up its oil industry to foreign investment to attract foreign investment and develop the heavy oil in the Orinoco Belt.
Venezuela's oil production has dropped in recent years, largely due to mismanagement by the Venezuelan government

What Chavez did was confiscate foreign owned oil infrastructure with no compensation, the oil companies were understandably upset.
