Biden Administration Auctioning Pieces of Border Wall: Report [View all]

Material to be used for the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border was reportedly taken away in Arizona, set for auction just weeks before the barrier's champion, President-elect Donald Trump, returns to the White House.

Video footage obtained by The Daily Wire showed sheets of the border wall being towed away close to Tucson, headed to the surplus government equipment auction marketplace GovPlanet.

"They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson and Three Points," a border patrol agent told the outlet on condition of anonymity. "The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas." Paneling meant to form part of the wall before President Joe Biden halted construction was seen piled up at the auction site.

"They just started taking all the wall that was not used, which is still totally good and usable, and they started taking it northbound," a border agent told The Daily Wire. "They're pulling it all off the border." The Biden administration sold similar materials in 2023, just before approving construction of another 20-mile stretch. The parts also were sold through GovPlanet.

LOL

(but this is what GSA does with all kinds of surplus stuff - whether furniture, vehicles, and apparently unused building materials)
