For an old fart, I have a mean fastball, and may try out for the sickly SF Giants.

How sickly?

SF Giants owner pours cash into Republicans like never before

San Francisco Giants principal owner Charles B. Johnson is using the presidential election year to write checks to Republican political operations like never before.

According to Federal Election Commission filing data, Johnson has made 43 donations totaling $2,862,720.00 since Jan. 1 this year — his largest single-year cumulative tally of political donations.

Other than single $5,000 donations to MLB’s political action committee and the Franklin Templeton PAC, Johnson’s donations were given directly to Republican candidates or organizations. No individual candidate received more direct financial backing from Johnson than Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick. McCormick’s Keystone Renewal PAC has received $1,000,000 (two $500,000 donations) from Johnson in 2024.

...

This year, Johnson also donated $1,000,000 to the Republican’s Congressional Leadership Fund and $250,000 to Grow The Majority, a pair of PACs focused on ensuring Republican control of Congress.
