It requires the understaffed PO to have to get election registration data and then somehow sort the mail in ballots to it before delivery.

Who knows what they do with the ones that don't match?

The PO isn't funded to do this, and it feels like a violation of the establishment clause of the PO in general. They were established to deliver mail, not determine voter registration.
