Got my sample ballot yesterday - not the longest list I've seen, but substantial. I assume the debate just picked the top pollers (LivingForGodAndCountry DeMott probably doesn't stand a chance). I'm leaning towards Becerra: several terms in Congress, California Attorney General (he was Kamala Harris's replacement), and Secretary of Heath and Human Services under Biden - a long and diversified history. I got, tired of Steyer's incessant ads months ago. I think Porter's a bit out of her depth, and Mahan needs to finish his first term as mayor of San Jose (and do more than show up on the local news on a regular basis). And the Republican candidates are right out: my grandfather told me to never vote for a Republican and I still heed his advice.
