1. This happened to my daughter's boss.

Monday

She has been in this country since she was one year old, and is married to a US citizen. She is in her late twenties, and was escorted out of her office by upper management on the day her work permit expired. Not sure how this usually works, but my daughter and her co-workers were shocked .
