I really, really shouldn't have.

It goes against the basic rules of librarianship.

But I couldn't help it. There's a certain type of person who, when they ask if we have any books by Rush Limbaugh, makes me respond with, "Could you spell that? I'm not familiar with them."

I once had somebody walk up to me at the reference desk and ask for redemption. It took me a second to realize they were looking for the religion books, not absolution from overdue fines
