I am sure the house committees will launch investigations but they are limited as to what they can do. For example, they can not issue search warrants or ask for one.

In a normally functioning government, they refer whatever they find to the justice department for investigation. Somehow, I do not think the justice department will collaborate.

Still, congressional action will be crucial. This is what gave us all the material needed for the January 6th investigation, which ultimately was bungled by Garland's inaction.
