In reply to the discussion: @GOP Mitch McConnell just said the quiet part out loud on Greenland: [View all]DFW
(59,771 posts)7. Strokes have really had their effect on him.
Talk about a shadow of his former self!
Even when (finally) calling Trump out on a supreme outrage, he couldnt resist a dig at Joe Biden (pulling out if Afghanistan). McTurtle must realize his physical frailty, and understand that the end of his time in the Senate draws near. If he thinks this speech compensates for the past evil he has wrought on our nation, he is sorely mistaken. However, even though his personal broken clock has stopped very late in the day, he is not wrong here, and his voice coming down on the just side of a crucial matter is welcome.

OP
Yes. I think Mitch could have convinced enough Republicans to convict Trump after Jan 6th

Impeached? But will he be convicted in the Senate by 2/3 vote? That's the hard part.

I think Putin must have some real bad dirt on Trump to get him to blow up NATO by going after Greenland.

It's got to be extremely bad as well considering how Trump loves to strut around breaking laws.

MOSCOW MITCH and his "party over country" stance is most responsible for the mess we are in.

You know what needs to be done, Mitch. You know it's past time for the GOP to do what must be done.

Yet he's still in favor of a unitarian government with an all powerful leader.

Mitch and his cohorts are responsible for Trump and still have the power to stop him
