@GOP Mitch McConnell just said the quiet part out loud on Greenland:

I think one of the worst things about Trump threatening Greenland is that
we are losing support--and respect from our allies.
PS--I know we already have lost a LOT of respect from what used to be friendly countries

Mitch McConnell just said the quiet part out loud on Greenland:

We already have everything we need.
Greenland already cooperates.

Our Arctic access already exists.

What Trump is proposing isn’t strategy, it’s burning allied trust for nothing.

“Incinerating the hard-won trust of loyal allies” is not strength. It’s self-sabotage.

But he didn't. He wanted to play both sides of the fence. He acted outraged but refused to hold Trump accountable.

They could still impeach and convict him. If Mitch is really concerned he should rally the troops. It could all be done quickly.

But they won't. They hate America.

Can we get enough Republican senators who either feel like their seat is safe or plan to not run again. I think some Republicans are sick if him. And they would be doing it with plenty of time to have a good primary for 2028.

Soulless Mitch McConnell, the second most corrosive politician in American history, used Trump, a malicious vengeful preening clown, to pack the courts with incompetent ideologues..their task was to strike down Roe v Wade, the Marriage Equality Act, and the Affordable Care Act while his wife, Elaine Chao (later referred to Coco Chow) was Trump's Secretary of Labor...no conflict of interest there...

and Mitch, ever the multitasker, also managed to shove through the most obscene tax cut for his billionaire buddies, the top 1%...where did he find the time??

so now, after twice blowing the opportunity to rid the world of Trump, Mitch suddenly gives damn about Greenland??...STFU!!!

Source-https://www.theholocaustexplained.org/the-nazi-rise-to-power/the-nazi-rise-to-power/the-role-of-the-conservative-elite/

snip-"The role of the conservative elite in the Nazi rise to power
The conservative elite were the old ruling class and new business class in Weimar Germany. Throughout the 1920s they became increasingly frustrated with the Weimar Republic’s continuing economic and political instability, their lack of real power and the rise of communism. They believed that a return to authoritarian rule was the only stable future for Germany which would protect their power and money.

snip-"The conservative elite’s second move towards authoritarian rule was helping the Nazi Party to gain power. The conservative elite and the Nazi Party had a common enemy – the political left .

As Hitler controlled the masses support for the political right, the conservative elite believed that they could use Hitler and his popular support to ‘democratically’ take power. Once in power, Hitler could destroy the political left. Destroying the political left would help to remove the majority of political opponents to the ring-wing conservative elite.

Once Hitler had removed the left-wing socialist opposition and destroyed the Weimar Republic, the conservative elite thought they would be able to replace Hitler, and appoint a leader of their choice."

much much more there of course

Talk about a shadow of his former self!

Even when (finally) calling Trump out on a supreme outrage, he couldn’t resist a dig at Joe Biden (pulling out if Afghanistan). McTurtle must realize his physical frailty, and understand that the end of his time in the Senate draws near. If he thinks this speech compensates for the past evil he has wrought on our nation, he is sorely mistaken. However, even though his personal broken clock has stopped very late in the day, he is not wrong here, and his voice coming down on the just side of a crucial matter is welcome.
