Those considerable number who just went along to get along.

Who didn't want to be arrested by British troops or tarred and feathered by their rebel neighbors.

That would be the sizable portion today who are not overtly pushing back against Trump.

And who can blame them for wanting to keep their heads down and try to lead normal lives?
