What is supposed to happen if [View all]

Crumb the 1st invades or attacks Greenland is that Article 5 of NATO is supposed to kick in and NATO forces are supposed to defend Greenland as part of NATO member Denmark. That defense would include counter-attack strategies.This would mean that US pilots and ships would be fair targets. From a personal standpoint if my military is going to go along and follow unlawful orders then I feel zero restraint should be shown to them and whatever casualties happen will be simply, to me, a matter of democratic countries of the west taking action against a country with a military gone rogue and I'll mourn no US military losses but I will grieve any losses of the countries trying to defend democracy and a fellow ally.

I have no preconceptions that repelling the rogue US military, given what they did in Venezuela we can conclude they are now rogue, and yes there would be losses. But we must look at the alternative because as we see now with Cuba there is no end to the extortion by the fascists who have purged the military, intelligence community and DOJ/FBI of anybody who might stand against the lawlessness and rogue actions. They have in less than one year turned our military into more a semblance of the Wehrmacht of 1930's Germany than what we knew just 2 years ago.

People who are content with what the fascists are doing with the US military and ICE-American Gestapo would have been content with Hitler and the Nazis in the 1930's. You can see it in the faces, eyes, attitudes and conduct of these forces that they not only do kill they want to kill.

We must now face it once and for all that our military is not our friend. Not in the least. We must also face that for the most part our police will not engage to stop them. We are on our own. In ways worse and deeper than during the Red Scar and Vietnam. As before they are arresting protestors and organizers and demanding the names of others. Now with the lightning speed of computers and internet they have your fingerprints, facial scan, entire personal history and entire social media history in moments and it builds there master database. Now JD wants them to go door to door. Just like their heroes did in Germany.

I'm so old I remember the first term of Crumb The 1st when people warned about creeping fascism and comparisons to Hitler and the Nazis and we were told by many that it was not appropriate and that to say we were being moved toward fascism was an exaggeration. We knew that there were people in Germany who said it would be OK and to not be alarmist. Don't those same naysayers wish now that more people had been "alarmed enough" by November of 2024? So to the naysayers I urge them to realize that history shows that people in Germany didn't get "alarmed enough" until it was too late and it happened quickly once it began. Didn't the current roster of escalating atrocities happen quickly? Where do you think we are? Different decade same stuff. Same evil.
