Every time he pulls something like this, MAGA office holders from Congress to City Council get closer to thinking that maybe he will be the direct cause of the end of their political career.
Their pathetic need to perpetuate their own little bit of power is what will begin to turn them away until it hits a critical mass and they are collectively in more peril by not repudiating him.
