The outrage is not about policies.

It is about, basically, goofy shit that has little to no impact on people’s lives. The ballroom crap is an excellent example. Was it needed or wanted? No. Is it a waste of money? Yes. Does it make us look like fools? Yes. Is it critical in the long term? No. Sure, the waste of money contributes to the long term issue but $300 million is a drop in the bucket.

No, the bigger concern is Project 2025 and the terrorist group that put it together along with other terrorist groups like the Federalist Society and the Cato Institute. The goal of these groups is not just simple changes. The goal is the complete restructuring of the government and political economy of the country through extralegal actions. The Republicans bleating about Trump’s actions over his social media nonsense have not shown that they oppose the policies in any meaningful way collectively.
