One definition of a "bona fide Democrat" would be someone who is a genuine and sincere supporter of the Democratic Party and its ideals. The term "bona fide" itself means "in good faith" or "genuine".
Here's what some say constitutes a "bona fide Democrat":
Registered Democrat: They are registered to vote with the Democratic Party.
Consistent Voting Record: They vote for Democratic candidates in primary and general elections.
Party Affiliation: They may publicly express their affiliation with the party and are supportive of its platform.
Active Involvement: Some may actively participate in party activities, such as attending meetings, volunteering, or donating.
Align with Democratic Principles: They generally align with the core values and policy positions of the Democratic Party.
I check off all 5 boxes.
