The Florida Everglades is about 1.5 million acres, and the average yearly rainfall is close to 5 feet. That's 7.5 million acres feet of water, just in one years rain.

This rain deficit has been over the past 80 years, from 1944 to present. If Mexico owes us a total of one fifth of one years rain, and if spread out over eighty years, the results would be (gasp) : one average day of rain in the Everglades every year.

I believe his ideas about showerheads, faucets, toilets, and dishwashers waste more water than that.
