I never thought he would be the ideal candidate because of the baggage he has. I recognize that he has often taken very liberal positions, but his current actions confuse that.

The media is not a fair playing field as there are many totally MAGA outlets and few overtly liberal ones. Trump and others LABELED the mainstream media which attempts to be even handed as liberal. So, his podcast when he speaks to but only gently pushes back on Republican liars, is not just a waste, but to some may give the liars credibility.

I don't know who the best choices will be for 2028, but I don't see it as him. My choices would be a newer fresher face with far less baggage. There are several governors who meet that description.
