Immunity doesn't make an action not illegal, as has been repeatedly explained. It just gives the president (and the president alone) a get out of jail free. Unfortunately, under the current law, the solution for a president performing illegal acts is to remove him from office via impeachment. And, also unfortunately, that isn't going to happen with his cult-congress.

But - currently Trump also disavows any direct knowledge of (or responsibility for) the deportations. He claims Rubio handled it. Rubio is not the president, and does not have presidential immunity.
