7. You HAVE to judge a video by its cover. Your video posts are the exception that proves the rule

You, Thank You!, you post summaries of the video, sometimes excerpts of the transcripts, so that we can have a good idea of what is discussed and what the point is. That is different from most DU video posts.

Most videos posted on DU have no summary or only say "A and B discuss issue M". You could figure that out by looking at the cover picture, but that is all you can figure out. So you HAVE to judge the video by its cover before you invest time in it.

Multiply a few minutes by a couple dozen videos and you are flat out of time for anything else. I can read a couple dozen OPs in the time of one of those rambling videos and get a lot more information.

Videos are great for illustrating woodworking projects or for letting hosts ramble and bloviate.
