She may have felt her particular horse wasn't being respected enough by her "allies" so she changed "midstream" as it were just to stick it to those she felt betrayed the cause.
The OJ case was judged as police racism vice social misogyny. She couldn't see it was both. And frankly, a lot of feminists are racist, and vice versa, so I wouldn't be surprised that was a factor..

The fact that the Right loves to spotlight "Libs that switch" only strengthened her switch to RW nut causes.
It's all about the ego. And I don't doubt the monies to be made parading herself out in RW circles.
