2. They kept the vote open for almost an hour

6 Repuke members did not vote when their names were called, even though they were on the floor. 3 members voted for someone other than Johnson. the number 9 is significant because that's the number needed to get the full House to vote to vacate.

But after the full roll was called, the 6 abstentions voted for Johnson and after a lengthy delay and a meeting with Johnson behind closed doors, which included a personal phone call from Trump, 2 of the 3 who voted for another member switched.

The number 9 is not a coincidence. Those members sent a message to both Johnson and Trump that they want their agenda of draconian spending cuts and no compromises with Democrats or nothing is safe, not Johnson's Speakership or the budget or the Debt Ceiling.

Today's vote was not a victory for Trump or Johnson. It's a prelude to the coming chaos.
