Trump has openly denied the core principle of a Christian conversion experience, which is the acknowledgement of his own sin and the need for God's forgiveness. He has, on multiple occasions, in front of prominent religious leaders, on camera, stated that he has done nothing that requires God's forgiveness. In virtually every branch of Christianity, that's an open denial of the Doctrine of Salvation, and that testimony is Trump telling the world he is not Christian.
Trump has defined his own belief in God, contrary to any Christian revelation spoke n by Jesus Christ, who defined Christianity for the world. Submission to God is a key component of the Christian faith, and that is something Trump cannot and will not do. And any Catholic priest who knows his doctrine and is being faithful to the Church and to Christ would not be able to acknowledge this about Trump and remain credible.
