As long as the favor was not coerced. Or something like that in terms of bribery anyway.

So if some hottie does me something nice, and i feel warmly and offer her my financial thanks, is that a crime?

How is that different than me, say, not investigating republican pols high up in the t1 admin, and then receiving lucrative speaking engagements and jobs for family after retiring from the doj?
