Highly educated, incredibly intelligent, a consummate diplomat, and well admired in diplomatic and legal circles. He was well-liked by the Brits, and they gave Clinton high marks for selecting him as our ambassador to the Court of St. James.

I cringe with embarrassment at the coming reactions to the array of insulting characters Trump and Co. are appointing to important diplomatic posts. I don't think I have any cringes left over his cabinet ppointments, but I was prepared for that after the last time.
