The Way Forward

I was born and raised in TX. Left and headed north after grad school. Lived and taught in CT for a few years - my son is finishing his PhD at UCONN. I now work for CMU, but in Rwanda. Still own a house in PA.

Was in Kigali for the 2024 election. Had to work hard to get our votes counted as the Embassy here was shut down during the election due to a local epidemic (not COVID). Ended up airmailing our ballots to PA to vote and got confirmation they had been counted before election day.

So, I did not leave the country because of the election, but I am glad not to be there for the aftermath.
