40 years since we focused on winning everywhere? Is it 40 years since Howard Dean?

He makes good points about the power and resources of the DNC, the ability to vet candidates, use polling, that cannot be replicated locally.

At the same time, the assertion of the national party into local elections upends some of our grass roots operations, who then bicker or go lukewarm. Translating school board successes into Congressional races is not a science.
