Let me list just one that many families are still suffering from.

58,000 Americans, some of my close high school friends. One was a USN Corpman (medic) attached to a U.S. Marine unit. A second one, a childhood friend. Names are on a big black wall in Washington.

Consider this, the obvious coward in the White House, with 5 deferments during the Vietnam War. Proving it is not who you are, it's who you can afford to buy.

If the ballroom WAS that necessary, why all the biggest GOLD fancy, fancy, fancy B.S. talk? START with the security benefits.

Final question: how many Presidents and their families lived there without whining me, me, me, me?

Sign me: Enlisted, not drafted, USAF Medic 1965-1969, right out of High School. The third generation of 4 who have enlisted and served in WWI, WWII, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War years.
