I feel it's not as dire as many people think, at least for future prospects. Remember America's brand at the end of Dubya's second term. While Drumpf has done a much more thorough job of showing allies America's ass, it didn't take Obama long to be back on a good footing with most countries.

I say the damage mitigation will be directly proportional to the statesmanship, reputation and policies of the next Democrat to occupy the Oval Office. If...IF the unthinkable happens and the GOP manages to cheat their way back into the White House, all bets are off. At least a generation to become even respectable in global opinion.
