Not only that, but they are risking their license to practice. In fact, as this whole thing comes to light, it is pretty certain that they will indeed lose their law license.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what it takes to get such a license, I will just tell you a bit about the experience of a friend who just went through getting his New York law license. He had his New Jersey law license already.

You have to go through tests made up by the Bar Association. The Bar Association doesn’t necessarily care how relevant these questions are. So in fact, you are actually studying a bunch of stuff that is probably never gonna’ do you any good.

Second, because they have a an exclusive in giving this test, the Bar Association is not necessarily very reasonable about where you take the test. In the New York area, you can take it in New York City. But if you are in New Jersey, you have to travel to Albany. Not only that, but you have to stay for the entire week at your expense.

I could go on, but I won’t. I’ll just say that getting a law license is not a very pleasant experience, and they are risking getting their license taken away and for what?
