Donald Trump’s refusal to walk back his regime-change rhetoric on Venezuela has now reignited international concern—this time over Greenland. Declaring that the United States needs Greenland “very badly,” Trump’s remarks have intensified fears of a potential American move against the Arctic territory.
Greenland is largely self-governing but remains part of the Danish kingdom, with Copenhagen responsible for defence and foreign policy.
