I have Liz Cheney's book and the reason that only 10 House Republicans voted yes on impeachment after experiencing the frightening horror of January 6th was because they feared being primaried (which several were) and, even worse, the fear of retribution. I remember one House member telling her that he feared for his wife and new baby.

She said that if the vote was anonymous she believed the impeachment vote would have been overwhelming, but too many were afraid of retribution - and as it was only 2 of the Republican House members who voted yes on impeachment returned to serve in the next Congress. And one of their excuses was that "he'll be gone soon, anyway."
