2. Ah! I do remember that the last time I was in Ireland, I was shocked at the price of gas there

Gas in my area (Northeastern New York State) used to be under $3, but now it's well over $4 and diesel is well over $5, $5.69-$5.89.

And I still remember the time my cousin gave me a ride to school and she stopped for gas on the highway, took one look at the price and said we needed to stop elsewhere - and it was 47-cents-a gallon back then!
