And Goldberg of the Atlantic asked him to describe what the Trump doctrine was. He referenced a Dolly Parton song, Jolene, where she says “please don’t take him just because you can” and the general said that’s our doctrine now, taking whatever we can. Jeffrey Goldberg called it the Jolene doctrine
