Republican senators join calls for fuller investigation into Minneapolis killing - BBC News [View all]

The Trump administration is facing pressure to launch a full investigation into the second Minneapolis killing by federal agents in two weeks, as one Republican governor says "enough is enough".

Donald Trump told the Wall Street Journal his administration is "reviewing everything" and also indicates he could eventually withdraw agents from the city - but he's given no time frame.

Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old US citizen, was shot dead on Saturday after an incident with federal agents.

The Trump administration says Pretti carried a gun and posed a danger to officers - while no available video shows him holding a gun including this close up video of the shooting. - 01/26/2026.
