Rob Reiner on The Ingraham Angle in 2018 [View all]

I found this interview from Laura Ingraham's Jan. 19, 2018 FNC show after reading this LA Times article leading with this as an example of how Reiner made outreach to conservatives while advocating for liberal causes. This interview took place the day after Ingraham had a random encounter with Reiner at a restaurant.

A lot of what's in this video (Ingraham reflexively defending Trump against racism charge and Russian collusion, countdown to government shutdown) looks quite eerie in retrospect.

At 6:06, Reiner gives a great explanation why most movie directors and other artists are liberal: "Republicans know they're right. Democrats entertain the possibility that they may be wrong."
